The Michaelis-Menten model describes the rate of enzymatic reactions by relating the reaction rate ($v_0$) to the concentration of a substrate $[S]$. It assumes a simple reaction: Enzyme + Substrate ⇌ Complex → Enzyme + Product.

Variables: Vmax represents the maximum velocity of the reaction when the enzyme is fully saturated with substrate. Km (the Michaelis constant) is the substrate concentration at which the reaction velocity is half of Vmax, reflecting the affinity of the enzyme for its substrate.
